Martin Style E mandolin, S/N 13218, Circa 1926

This is a beautiful example of a top-of-the-line mandolin made by Martin in 1926.  It features exquisite pearl binding all over the top, sides, and back of the rosewood body, and fancy pearl inlays in both the fingerboard and peghead.  This mandolin was the equivalent of a Martin D-45 guitar at the time it was made.  It is still in great playing condition and it sounds great.
