A. F. Eibel (Malden, MA) 5-string banjo Circa 1890's

This is one of the fanciest Eibel banjos I have seen, with beautiful engraved and saw-cut pearl inlays on the peghead and fingerboard, a long ebony backstrap, and Fairbanks-style "cobra" hooks.  Note that it has the same countersunk rim bolts that are seen on two of my other Eibel banjos.  This is a banjo of comparable quality to high-end Fairbanks and Cole banjos from the same period.
